On the Stirling numbers associated with the meromorphic Weyl algebra

The generalized Stirling numbers introduced recently [11, 12] are considered in detail for the particular case s = 2 corresponding to the meromorphic Weyl algebra. A combinatorial interpretation in terms of perfect matchings is given for these meromorphic Stirling numbers and the connection to Bessel functions is discussed. Furthermore, two related q-polynomial identities are derived.

Desingularization in the q-Weyl algebra

In this paper, we study the desingularization problem in the first qWeyl algebra. We give an order bound for desingularized operators, and thus derive an algorithm for computing desingularized operators in the first q-Weyl algebra. Moreover, an algorithm is presented for computing a generating set of the first q-Weyl closure of a given q-difference operator. As an application, we certify that s...

The (Q, q)–Schur Algebra

In this paper we use the Hecke algebra of type B to define a new algebra S which is an analogue of the q–Schur algebra. We construct Weyl modules for S and obtain, as factor modules, a family of irreducible S–modules over any field.

The classical limit of a state on the Weyl algebra

This paper considers states on the Weyl algebra of the canonical commutation relations over the phase space R. We show that a state is regular iff its classical limit is a countably additive Borel probability measure on R. It follows that one can “reduce” the state space of the Weyl algebra by altering the collection of quantum mechanical observables so that all states are ones whose classical ...
